Decoration is cosy and superb. The conservatory is beautiful for dining and the service was super attentive and friendly! Thank you team! We came here because of food recommendation from friends. The cod loin was a bit dry and flavourless. Everything else lives up to the reputation!

Lovely experience, especially the service - Carly was incredible. She was an amazing waitress and her customer service made us feel so welcoming. She was attentive, friendly and supported us when we wanted to make some changes to our meal. We will definitely be back because of her!

Fantastic! We've eaten here twice this year (2026) and on both occasions we've been seated in the light, airy conservatory, been served delicious, reasonably-priced dishes and had friendly, efficient service. I couldn't fault this place for lunch. It has this in common with every other CamsCuisine location, by the way.

Driven past many times but never gone in for a meal. Definitely will return again. Good choice of food for all budgets, was going to go for steak but changed at last minute to the burger (saving a few pounds too!) Great choice! One of the best burgers I have had, please don’t take it off the specials menu! Finished with an incredible tangy orange and chocolate desert. Great service.

Had a lovely 2 night break at the crown and punchbowl. The service from Hash went above and beyond to make the most of our stay, his advice to get the bus into Cambridge was perfect. Bus stop right outside the pub, couldn't get any closer. Food was better than the 3 horse shoes and was a lot warmer, it was unfortunate they had a boiler failure before we turned up. Rooms are very nice but could do with a touch up of paint in some areas. Will definately be back.

I dined recently at The Crown & Punchbowl, a gathering of sixteen lively souls, friends and family alike, and I must say, it was an absolute triumph. The front-of-house team was magnificent: unflappable, gracious, and wonderfully efficient, gliding about as though choreographed by the Royal Ballet. The kitchen, meanwhile, produced food of such consistency and flavour that one might reasonably expect a small fanfare between courses. Everything was cooked to perfection, hot where it should be hot, crisp where it should crunch, and served with the sort of quiet confidence that only comes from genuine skill. Feeding sixteen people beautifully, without a single misstep, is no small achievement. The Crown & Punchbowl team managed it with warmth, charm, and the easy excellence of people who know exactly what they're doing. In short: splendid food, delightful people, and an evening conducted with flair and polish. Quite frankly, it reminded me how good British hospitality can be when done correctly.

We had a wonderful dining experience at The Crown & Punchbowl! We started with the spinach bonbons, which were a unique and delicious way to kick off the meal. For the mains, the chicken and leek pie was hearty and flavorful, served beautifully over greens. I had the fish and chips, and it was spot on—the fish was perfectly cooked with a great crunch, and the presentation on the branded paper was a nice touch. Everything was served promptly and with a smile. Highly recommend if you’re looking for perfectly executed gastropub classics!
